The Chinese archway that stands over the entrance to Liverpool’s Chinatown is the largest Chinese archway outside of China. It’s 35 feet high, and was built in Shanghai.
5. The Liver Building clock started when King George V was crowned.
The Liver Building clock was started on the 22nd of January 1940 at 1.40pm. On its own, this fact isn’t terribly interesting, but it is also the exact time that George V was crowned King at Westminster Abbey!
